okay...

The photo project is actually a lot harder than I thought it would be. Essentially I'm going to have to field test/start this project for someone else to do in the future because it is going to take forever to complete it!

They want me to take a photo of every single building in the Financial District and while that might sound simple, it's actually not. I also have to look up the parcel numbers, save copies of the parcel maps of each block, and export the basic stats of each building using their really complicated databases. After that I have to upload all of this information into the office database for future use. Hmm. It sounds kind of simple now that I've typed it out, but I was so confused when my supervisor explained what he wanted. Maybe I was just hungry at that point and the lack of food made me unable to comprehend things.

Anyway....July 4th was pretty fun. No fireworks this year, unfortunately [yes I wanted it to be a tradition! Foggy fireworks!], but we went to the Legion of Honor for free which was pretty nice. I've never been there so I was excited. We did our best to recreate the Vertigo shot but it was kind of a fail since the Carlotta painting is no longer there. After wandering around some more we ended up in the Print Graphics library where we were "treated" to what was basically a lecture by the nice old man who worked there. I feel bad, but I couldn't stop laughing because it was so AWKWARD. Angela and I basically nodded and said "mmhmm" the whole time. Finally we escaped and met up with Patrick. I managed to convince him to let us walk his dog. Angela kept mention several ways we could hurt him and surprisingly, or not surprisingly, we managed to ALMOST hurt him several times.

We trekked down to the beach and Diana and Janet met up with us. Everyone, except Jenny and I, climbed up this rock. After running around with Mac and trying to stop him from running into the water [potential yeast infections, according to Patrick], we went over to Pagan where I used my measly connection and got us free dessert.

Janet left after dinner and the rest of his went back to the Sunset and karaoked for about an hour. EPIC. Especially when Angela had to sing this song by some hapa guy that had a video filled with sequined shirts and fabulous dancing.

Thus concludes my 4th of July!
